You can find a watchmaker or clockmaker in your area or internationally by entering information below. You can find a horologist (watchmaker or clockmaker) by entering your zip code to locate those closest to you. You are encouraged to begin this way. After an initial search you can then begin to narrow down your search by entering key terms such as the style or brand of watch you are looking to repair. Be aware this search accesses our membership profile and as you enter a keyword, it will only bring up individuals who have that keyword listed on their profile. You do not have to enter search criteria in each window, you can leave fields blank. You must click the search button at the bottom of the fields to perform the search.
You can also locate information for members of our organization such as phone numbers, business addresses and websites by entering their name or company in the search bar.
What Is AWCI?
The American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute is the U.S. trade association representing the timekeeping or "horology" industry. This includes clockmakers, watchmakers, and the industries that serve them. We are your resource for information on timepiece repair, sales, and education. The Institute is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of workmanship and professional ethics for the industry.

What do the certifications mean?
The following are AWCI’s current certified designations: CW21 - Certified Watchmaker for the 21st Century. Watchmakers with CW21certification have proven to a board of professionals that they possess the necessary skills to perform quality repairs on modern watches including quartz, automatic, and chronograph timepieces. Watchmakers with CMW21 have proven to a board of professionals that they possess complete mastery of the necessary skills to perform quality repairs on modern watches including quartz, automatic, and chronograph timepieces as well as complicated restorations. Clockmakers with CC21 certification have proven to a board of professionals that they possess the necessary skills to perform quality repairs on a variety of modern clocks including chiming movements, 400-day clocks, cuckoo clocks, and more.
